Flamingo Land Theme Park

The Flamingo Land Theme Park, Zoo and Holiday Village covers an area of around 150 hectares to the north of Kirkby Misperton. It is amongst the premier (paid-for) tourist attractions in the country, with annual visitor numbers exceeding 1.5 million people and is the UK’s busiest independent theme park. Flamingo Land is a major employer within the Ryedale District with a staff team of around 500 people.

O’Neill Associates act as retained planning consultants for the theme park and recently obtained planning permission for a new 34m high ‘Inversion’ rollercoaster, which is currently under construction on site. The new rollercoaster, represents a significant investment in the facilities at the park and is expected to be operational for the 2021 summer season.
