Outline planning consent has been secured for a development of up to 70 dwellings at the former York St John University playing fields at Hull Road.  The planning application followed extensive work to secure allocation of the site for residential development through the emerging Local Plan process, including consultation with Sport England and submission of evidence to satisfy its criteria in relation to redevelopment of playing fields.

The Practice successfully made the case that the development was in accordance with planning policy, and addressed issues and resident concerns relating to the change of use of the playing fields, open space provision, existing protected tree belts, highways impacts and suitability of the site for housing.
