Public Consultation completed on new ‘World Class’ student centre for the University of York

Working alongside the University of York and a world class architectural team,  O’Neill Associates have recently completed the public consultation exercise on the proposals for a new £65m student centre at Campus West. The new centre a flagship project for the University and will act as a ‘front door’ to the original campus, providing a social hub for students and staff, which will also be available to the general public.

The design team was appointed following an international design competition and is being led by RIBA Gold Medal award-winning architectural practice, O’Donnell Tuomey. As long standing planning consultants for the University, O’Neill Associates will advise on all planning matters during the course of the process, including co-ordination of the various technical disciplines, liaison with City of York Council, local residents and other key stakeholders.

The application will be submitted in early 2023 with work schedule to start on site later the same year
