Outline planning permission has been obtained for the development of 24 dwellings on 0.84ha of land on the edge of the city limits on a Green Belt site in North Yorkshire. The land was previously part B2 use, part residential and part paddock. The layout was carefully designed to achieve a balance between the higher densities outlined in national planning policy guidance and those more appropriate to an edge of settlement location. The resultant development is a high quality scheme that enhances the visual amenities of the area on the approach to the city’s suburbs.
