Planning permission, listed building and conservation area consent have been obtained for the conversion of vacant farm buildings at Low Farm, Goldsborough (4 km to the east of Harrogate) into 3 dwelling units. Low Farm is a Grade II listed building, which lies within a village Conservation Area but outside Development Limits. The scheme included the demolition of listed and non-listed agricultural buildings. The design is well considered responding to the historic and architectural requirements of the Conservation Area and the listed structures on the site. Affordable housing issues were resolved with the Local Planning Authority, resulting in one of the dwellings being an affordable unit. The scheme has transformed a near derelict site into a development that makes a substantial contribution to the character of this attractive rural settlement.
