The members of York Planning Committee have approved an application submitted by O’Neill Associates to demolish a former care home in Fulford and replace it with a 64-bed purpose-built facility.

The proposed care home will feature extensive communal areas and leisure facilities, with attractive landscaped outdoor areas for the use of the residents.

The practice engaged extensively with the City of York Council, Fulford Parish Council and members of community at a drop-in public consultation event prior to submitting the application, which was informed by feedback received from the various stakeholders.
